I started seeing friends and people on social media talking about the Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack. It’s cute but $100+ for a diaper bag?!

“I love love love my petunia pickle bottom diaper bag, so much so that I didn’t mind if the zipper occasionally got stuck. I come to find out petunia pickle offers a two year warranty on things like this. I contacted them and they were more then happy and eager to fix this issue! They even allowed me to change the color or bag if I wished! Other then the zipper getting stuck this bag is made exceptionally well! Super roomy inside beautiful design, great changing station. I am still so happy with my purchase and will always recommend this brand to any new moms looking for a diaper bag. Well worth the money!”

“This is my first Boxy and although I prefer a smaller bag, I was pleasantly surprised with the size adjustments. The fold over part of this bag has multiple levels of magnetic closures to minimize the size of the bag if packing light or snap closure to maximize the size and add security if packing more. We are out of the diapering stage so the changing pad easily detaches in the front zip pocket and is perfect as a parent pocket or to use for additional children. I love that it comes with the stroller straps and crossbody strap as options while keeping the padded shoulder straps for comfort. My favorite feature is the charm!!! It’s such a simple detail but adds that whimsical charm to the bag. It’s my daughter’s favorite feature as well. We took the Shimmery Minnie Mouse to the museum and used the princess packing cubes (sold separately) to carry our snacks! I highly recommend the boxy for any stage of parenting or caregivers!”
If you’re like me, you won’t buy anything without reading the worst dirt on a product. I surfaced some of the scariest, most negative reviews so you could take a peek at what people who hated the product had to say.
“With my second child I knew I would get another Boxy Backpack. I loved my last one! Nice design, could fit a lot and I loved the roll out mat. I also loved that it came as a backpack and had a strap. The strap was long enough and I could remove the backpack straps. Win, win! However, fast forward to receiving my new one. Again, ordered the Boxy Bag pack in the leatherette grey. Although aesthetically appealing to the eye, the design itself lost some functions. You can no longer remove the bag pack straps and the strap to carry on shoulder is much shorter compared to the other one, but the back pack straps are very long. I think after awhile I’m going to get so fed up with this strappy mess all over that I’ll end up cutting off the straps of this $200 bag. I just bought my sister one and she loves hers, but on hers you can tuck away the backpack straps. Anyhow, be aware because I thought all Boxy backpacks were designed the same. I am being induced next week so I don’t have time to exchange or return. I’m really disappointed.”

“This is a beautiful bag. Stylish and comfortable to wear. I bought it for my daughter. Only problem, is she hasn’t had it for a month and the zipper is broken. Have to return.”

“The bag is not as wide as expected. I figured it would hold a lot more stuff then my regular backpack would but that is not the case. That material is nice and good quality but the changing pad in the front feels cheap. I was so excited for the pad in the front and have not used it once. I now wish I picked a different bag without it.”
