Is Vuori Worth It? Here's What Redditors Think

By Kevin Rothman

Vuori has exploded on the athleisure scene in the past 5 years. I tend to be suspicious of mass trends, especially ones that involve buying $94 sweatpants. To be fair, Lululemon anchored people in the mindset that it’s okay to pay a lot for stretchy pants.

I decided to dive into the reddit threads to understand more about the durability, quality, comfort and versatility of a few of their best sellers (Men’s Shorts and Women and Men’s joggers) compared to other similar brands.

Here’s what I learned (read this if you only have 1 minute):

  • Men’s Shorts ($68): It seems to be a toss up between Vuori’s Kore Shorts and Ten Thousand’s Interval Shorts. They’re both $68 but Ten Thousand runs sales on their site (10% off pop-up when you land and then they have a $20 off any 2 full priced shorts). One big benefit of Vuori is that they’re also good for swimming. Overall Impression: Check out Ten Thousand before buying.
  • Joggers ($94): People love how soft and comfy they are. One person mentioned pilling but everyone else seemed to think that, though they’re pricey, they seemed satisfied with their purchase. One reviewer mentioned REI’s knock off was a good equivalent but the knock off on the site looks very different so I’m not sure how much weight I give that review. Overall Impression: Buy if you want something that looks good and is comfy.

“Best all in one shorts? Folks who work at REI, or anyone who cares to answer, in your opinion what’s the best all in one shorts that can do anything in and the most versatile. Swimming, workout, lounging, trail, even going out.”

“Favorite Vuori products? Learned of this company during my time as an employee at REI and have been in love ever since. Definitely pretty pricey stuff, but the quality, durability, and comfort have been 100% worth it.
I have the ponto performance sweatpants (so friggin soft and comfortable), ripstop climber pant (my favorite all-round pants I own by far), and a black cap that has also become a regular for me. Also bought my girlfriend a pair of the women’s performance joggers that she loves. I’ll link some of these below if anyone is interested.
Anyone else here have any experience with Vuori products/have any recommendations for a particular item? I ordered something in the wrong size a while back and still haven’t used my store credit haha.”

  1. Hands down the performance joggers. Though, the new REI line is a pretty darn good replica. I own several pieces both lines and like them equally. (1 Vote)

“How did you get introduce to Vuori clothing? For me my girlfriends dad ordered the wrong size shirt and didn’t fit him, gave it to me to try and I immediately fell in love with the fit, quality and softness of the shirt. Been a fan ever since. I’ve never heard of the brand before this though.”

  1. “Bought one pair of kore shorts and a couple tradewind shirts a few years ago from REI on a whim. Loved them so much and got so many compliments I went back and bought some more. My entire wardrobe both workout, casual and even some formal looking ponto sweaters is now 80% Vuori. I’ve hooked so many friends and family onto Vuori. It’s a bit of addiction honestly. And the first stuff I bought years ago is still going strong. Looks as good as the day I bought it.” (6 Votes)
  2. “Surfing, and then a buddy at my gym. He’s from socal and showed me them. Never turned back especially since there old discount for first responders was really good.” (2 Votes)

  2. “I agree their joggers amazing. I don’t think they are going to be taking over by any means. Lulu still has better selections and colors and overall fit in my opinion. Vuori is a local company here in San Diego, so I do like to give them a high five 🙌on a job well done and great athleisure wear.” (15 Votes)
